Here's what the Locals want to keep secret...

Heading to the Pilbara region between Nov- March is the "Wet Season" and conditions are humid and extremely warm, to say the least, sometimes EXTREMELY HOT!! This is also Cyclone season so floods, blocked roads and 'getting stuck' are things to consider

After the "wet" season things are green, water is flowing and the Pilbara comes to life. Day and Night time temperatures are better and camping, or more importantly sleeping, is MUCH better.

Booking for campgrounds may be necessary between June and September due to high demand

While in the area, check out Hamersley Gorge, Python Pool, Millstream, Mt Bruce lookout and for the adventurous - Wittenoom.
